The International Meteorite Collectors Association is a worldwide community of amateur and professional collectors held to one standard: every specimen sold or traded by a member must be exactly what is claimed.
About the IMCA
If IMCA members wish to sell or trade meteoritic specimens, those items must be "actually and exactly what is claimed." Members adhere to the highest standards of meteorite identification and labeling, and the membership maintains that standard by monitoring each other's activities for accuracy.
Every member agrees to a binding Code of Ethics covering honest description, fair transactions, and respect for the laws governing meteoritic material.
A private member forum where collectors ask questions, share identifications, and help fellow members ensure specimens are genuine.
Non-members benefit too: free articles, videos, and vetted external resources on meteorites and meteorite identification.

Sellers on eBay, Facebook, and dealer sites display IMCA membership as a mark of trust. Before you buy, look the number up here. If it's not in our member list, it's not an IMCA member — and you should ask why the logo is there.
Bought from a member and something isn't right? File a complaint and the Board will work with both parties to resolve it.

Membership
Regular membership requires modest annual dues and includes voting rights, use of the IMCA member logos, access to the private member forum, and eligibility for office and committee positions.

Tell us who you are and agree to the IMCA Code of Ethics and Bylaws. Membership is open to anyone dedicated to honest business practices.
STEP 2
Secure card payment in your local currency, wherever you are in the world. Automatic receipts and renewal reminders, no PayPal account needed.
STEP 3
Receive your IMCA member number and logos, appear in the public member list, and join the private member forum.
